Dear Friends,

As we start 2009, we, as a nation, and our individual families, face many challenges to our economics and safety. And, as we welcome in a new President, we also usher in a new hope for the future.

I started Sun Design Pools in 1972. Over these past 37 years I have seen periods of prosperity and peace as well as other periods of hard times. I have seen the resilience of our country, and our families, fight through those hard times only to come out stronger and better. I am confident that will be the case again today.

I have also seen over these past 37 years, the importance of the strength of our families and the joy that comes from our children. There is nothing more satisfying than to see our children grow and mature. The family bonds that we all share with our loved ones are what hold us all together during good times and bad.

One of my greatest joys I feel every day is talking with the many people I have had the pleasure working with building their dream backyards over the years, and hearing about how important these pools have become to them, their families and the happiness of their children. It is not uncommon for me to hear that the addition of that pool was one of the best things they ever did for themselves and their families. Being a pool owner myself for many years, and having watched two beautiful children grow up in and around our pool, I know how they feel. There is nothing more enjoyable than watching your family enjoy a nice summer day relaxing and playing around that backyard pool, knowing everyone is safe and secure being at home and sharing this time together.

To those of you that I have come to know, and become friends with, I wish you a very happy new year filled with peace and love. And to those of you that I will have the good fortune to meet and work with this year, I pledge to you, that everyone here at Sun Design will work very hard to create that wonderful oasis that you dream about. And as we set out, individually, and together, to solve the problems we face today, I feel much satisfaction knowing that what we do here at Sun Design Pools is adding to the positive times we have and the quality of life we desire. I wish everyone a 2009 filled with much sunshine to enjoy the most important thing in our life... the ones we love... and the ones that love us in return.
